Authentic Sabatier Forged Knives are crafted in Thiers, France, using high-quality materials and traditional techniques. The 8-inch Chef Knife is forged from a single piece of stainless steel, specifically the steel Z50C13 with a Rockwell hardness of 54-56 HRC. This steel is tempered, ground, and polished to ensure excellent cutting power, hardness, and balance.

Each knife features POM handles that are manually set and mounted on the tang using three through rivets for added durability. The entire production process, from forging to packaging, takes place in the Thiers region of France by skilled craftsmen, guaranteeing a professional quality finish.
