Authentic Sabatier Forged Knives, Made in France, with Carbon Steel Blades that will rust if left wet. The entire knife is forged from a single mass of carbon steel, with a Rockwell hardness of 54-56 HRC. Tempered, ground, and polished to ensure high-quality cutting power, hardness, and balance. POM handles are manually set and mounted on the tang with three rivets for durability.

From forging to packaging, all operations are conducted in the Thiers region of France by skilled workers to guarantee a professional quality finish. Carbon steel knives offer exceptional cutting power but require special maintenance. After use or washing, make sure to dry the knife carefully to prevent rust – never put carbon steel knives in the dishwasher.

Changes in the steel's color during use are normal. These knives are perfect for cutting and preparing meat, as well as large fruits and vegetables.
